UFC 200 Predictions

Light Heavyweight Title Fight: Daniel Cormier (+235) vs. Jon Jones (-305)

Maybe if this fight occurred in April like it was originally scheduled to, Cormier would’ve retained the belt. But Jones likely shook off any ring rust he had in his fight against Ovince Saint Preux, and he has the edge going into the main event. Jones is the best fighter in the world, and he should take care of Cormier, just like he did a year and a half ago.

Prediction: Jones by unanimous decision

Heavyweight Fight: Brock Lesnar (+140) vs. Mark Hunt (-170)

No matter how this fight ends, it should be over within the first few minutes. If Hunt gets a clean shot on Lesnar, the former champion’s return from WWE could be a short one. But Lesnar can end this one early by getting his opponent on the ground, where Lesnar has a significant advantage.

Prediction: Lesnar by knockout

Women’s Bantamweight Title Fight: Miesha Tate (-250) vs. Amanda Nunes (+195)

There’s likely to be at least one upset on the main card of UFC 200, and this fight might be it. The women’s bantamweight division has been unpredictable, with Rousey losing to Holly Holm, who promptly dropped the title to Tate in March. Tate has said she doesn’t think Nunes has what it takes to defeat her, and it’s that kind of thinking that could put the champ on the wrong side of the night’s biggest upset.

Prediction: Nunes by knockout

Interim Featherweight Title Fight: José Aldo (-105) vs. Frankie Edgar (-125)

Aldo was given the decision over Edgar when they fought back in 2013, and rightfully so, but it was a close fight that could have a different outcome on Saturday. Despite Aldo’s assertions, Edgar has gotten even better over the past three years, defeating some of the best competition the 145-pound division has to offer. Aldo has what it takes to outlast Edgar in another five-round fight, but Edgar might not give his opponent the opportunity to make it past the first few rounds.

Prediction: Edgar by knockout

Heavyweight Fight: Cain Velasquez (-305) vs. Travis Browne (+235)

Velasquez hasn’t fought since he lost his title over a year ago, but UFC 200 could be his first step towards regaining his championship. He will pressure Browne, and his superior wrestling should put him over the top.

Prediction: Velasquez by knockout

NFC Wildcard : Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Preview & Live Stream

Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Preview & Live Stream. Redskins vs Packers online video/stream details. Jan 10th 2016. NFL Live stream

Who: Green Bay Packers (10-6) at Washington Redskins (9-7)

What: NFC wild card game

Where: FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland

With only one slot available and two teams battling, expect a very entertaining match-up between the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Redskins at the FedEx Field.

The clash is on January 10, 2016 at 4:40 PM ET.

This is a Wildcard Playoff match in the NFC as the Redskins represent the NFC East, while the Packers are from the NFC North.

Washington won the division and are looking to move on in the competition by eliminating one of the better teams left in the race.

On the other hand, the Packers have stumbled in the past games and are looking to get back to their winning ways in the most important part of the season – the playoffs.

Washington are heading into this clash after finishing 9-7 in the regular season which was good enough to win the NFC East.

Meanwhile, the Packers had a chance to win the NFC North in the last game of the regular campaign but fell short and are second with a 10-6 pip.

This is the first time the two teams will meet this season and it should still be an epic match-up as they are two of the better teams in the league.

The Redskins have won their last four games to head into this battle full of steam – with big wins over the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys under their belts.

As for the Packers, they are on a two-game skid and are furiously trying to turn things around. This may be their last chance as another loss against the Redskins will tally their third straight after falling to the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings.

Even worse, the loss will see them bow out of the campaign after starting off with such high hopes.

Preview & Live Stream : Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks – NFC North Wild Card

Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks Live Stream

Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks preview and live stream details. Jan 10th 2016.

Minnesota had the league’s fifth-best scoring defense this season (18.9 points per game) thanks in large part to a collection of budding or realized stars at every level of Mike Zimmer’s unit. When Russell Wilson ran roughshod over them in December, many of those stars were roaming the sideline in sweatpants. They were missing Harrison Smith, the blitzing, pick-sixing, do-it-all man at the back end of Minnesota’s defense, who has as diverse a skillset as any safety in football. Linebacker Anthony Barr, a similar type of renaissance defender at linebacker, was gone too. And nose tackle Linval Joseph, who might have been the Vikings’ best defender this season, was out with a hip injury.

As the season went along, Seattle’s offensive line improved on its frightful start, but that improvement was relative. It meant going from 31st in pressure rate from Weeks 1 through 8 to 26th from Weeks 9 through 17. The Seahawks’ offensive line is still the area that can short-circuit the team, and in Minnesota they’re getting one of the best pass-rush units in football. The Vikings finished the season with the fourth-highest pressure rate in the league, but what might be most concerning is that Minnesota is at its best when bringing extra guys. Mike Zimmer actually blitzes at a below-average rate, but when he does, it works. No team got pressure more often on blitzes this season than Minnesota, at 49.4 percent.

For Minnesota, that has to be considered a plus. The lesser team typically makes out better when a game is mucked up, especially if that team is dependent on running and defense, as the Vikings are. It may not seem like much, but if the Vikings can make Russell Wilson feel the cold and use that defense and the elements to pry away a few extra possessions, they could steal a game not many expect them to win.
